karl is a 25 year old genderqueer person who goes by all pronouns.



he has fluffy, medium brown hair, which is most often in a basic chin-length cut. their eyes, once hazel, are now golden yellow. they sometimes change color, usually depending on her mental state, with them becoming a cloudy white when she's most dissociated or amnesic. it has warm-toned fair skin with a few freckles; as well as a few scars, correlating to different places it has been injured (mostly during tales).



ae has a large scar caused by a sword slashing aer lower abdomen (from the lost city of mizu); a thin scar across the front of aer neck caused by a dagger (from the masquerade); and several stab wound scars across aer torso and upper arms (from the pit). ze also has some minor burn scarring across zer legs.



on xer upper back, near xer neck, xe has three tattoo-like heart outlines, showcasing xer lives. one is filled in with fire and an explosion, whereas the other three are entirely empty. however, beneath the three hearts are three more small designs: a diamond sword with a simplified smile emoticon reflected in it, a black spider covered in red vines, and a camera with a cracked lens.



karl's casual outfit consists of a multi-colored hoodie, black cargo pants, and mismatched sneakers. he also wears plenty of different accessories, all of which different things. the most common are bracelets (related to different reminders), his two rings, some necklaces, and many different piercings. he has his ears pierced, snake bites, and a septum piercing.



her more complicated (although more common, now) outfit has the same black cargo pants as before, but she now wears brown hiking boots and a multi-colored jacket. her accessories have stayed mostly the same, although she now wears a wristwatch and carries several (yes, several) pocket watches with her. she also now bears a cross-body bag that holds several journals, some healing potions, a few snacks, and a water bottle that usually contains some type of juice.



within each tale, their outfit changes a bit based on the tale, but it remains generally the same.
